The President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, remains admitted to Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona since Saturday due to intense muscle pain, and the Government and doctors will report on his condition at 7:30 PM today.

The President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, remains admitted to Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona this Sunday and has suspended all his scheduled official activities. The medical team attending him plans to offer a press conference at 7:30 PM to update his health status.
According to information provided by the Government (Govern), Illa is stable and has been able to conduct some business from the hospital. Doctors continue to run tests to identify the source of the intense muscle pain he has been suffering in his leg since Saturday.
The indisposition began on Saturday morning after the President went for a run, an activity he usually performs. Despite feeling unwell, he attended a scheduled institutional visit to the Ascó Town Hall. Given the persistence of the pain after the meeting concluded, he decided to go to a hospital.
On Friday, Salvador Illa had participated normally in several official events, including the event held at the BesArt – The River Museum in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Due to the hospitalization, he could not participate in the Granollers half marathon, where he intended to run this Sunday.
