The Bagà Town Council has approved the executive project for the comprehensive renovation of the Raval promenade, with an investment of 685,374.71 euros, which includes renewing pavements, replacing the potable water network, and installing public restrooms.

The project, budgeted at over 685,000 euros (VAT included) and financed by the Catalan Public Works and Services Plan (PUOSC 2025-2029), addresses the progressive deterioration of the pavements and the obsolescence of underground service networks. The intervention covers a total area of 4,037.76 square meters and is divided into three sections: the connection with Raval street, the central area including the motorhome zone, and the access from the town's entrance roundabout.
Key actions include the complete renewal of the potable water supply pipeline and domestic connections. A module of public restrooms will also be installed in the central area of the promenade, next to the motorhome parking area. Regarding accessibility, a continuous pedestrian platform without architectural barriers will be created, featuring ramps with a gradient of less than 6% and tactile paving.
The roadway will be designed to withstand light and heavy vehicle traffic. Materials will combine pieces of local natural stone recovered from current sidewalks with washed concrete with granite aggregate, aiming to integrate the new pavements into Bagà's historic environment. The project also incorporates sustainable drainage measures and the reuse of material from the milling of the existing asphalt.
The works are scheduled to commence in 2026. This information is a highlight in the municipal bulletin 'La Veu de Bagà' for October 2026, which also includes summaries of the Festes de la Baronia de Pinós, the Ultra Pirineu race, the summer season at the new food truck area and municipal pool, and improvements at the Pleta de Comabella.
