On Saturday, October 10, the natural setting of Vinya del Soler in Cal Marçal, Puig-reig, will be the venue for the first edition of BROC. This new fair, under the slogan “The wine that flows, the land that speaks,” aims to champion the work of farmers and give visibility to small local producers and artisans from Central Catalonia.
The event, organized by the Espardenya i Esclop Cooperative in collaboration with the Puig-reig Town Council, promises a festive and family-friendly day. From 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Vinya del Soler (Carretera de Cal Marçal a Viver, km 2.7) will showcase offerings from various wineries, primarily from the DO Pla de Bages region, alongside small producers of local cured meats, cheeses, sweets, chocolates, and olive oil.
BROC aims to be more than just a fair, featuring wine tastings, live music, small-scale performances, talks on popular culture and agricultural heritage, and a creative workshop space for children set in a rural environment. Attendees can also enjoy a lunch menu prepared with local products.
The Puig-reig Town Council welcomes this initiative, viewing it as a boost to the economic dynamism of the municipality and the Berguedà region, highlighting the landscape, agricultural and wine heritage, and local Km 0 products.
