Atlètic Gironella defeated CE Puig-reig 0-2 at the local field last Sunday, in an intense Berguedà derby that was heavily affected by the pouring rain.

The match, played at the Puig-reig pitch, was initially dominated by the home team in terms of possession, but Atlètic Gironella proved more effective. The first goal arrived in the 10th minute, when Pere Portell flicked in a cross from Gerard Puigdellívol following a corner kick.
Although Puig-reig had a goal disallowed for offside after half an hour, Gironella extended their lead just before halftime. Ricard Gabarrós scored the 0-2 in the 39th minute, finishing an isolated play combined with Biel Rodríguez.
The second half was intense and goalless, with Puig-reig pushing forward aggressively. The visiting goalkeeper, Josep Calaf, was crucial in saving several dangerous opportunities. Despite counter-attacks from Gironella, the score remained unchanged, confirming the visitors' victory.
Following this defeat, CE Puig-reig loses second place in the league to Berga and drops to third, five points behind the leader, Fundació Terrassa. Atlètic Gironella remains fourth, pulling away from their immediate followers.
