A large elm tree fell in L'Ametlla de Merola (Puig-reig) on Sunday afternoon, damaging a wall due to the storm, but causing no personal injuries.

The incident occurred around 2:45 PM, when residents of the Puig-reig colony heard the crash of the tree hitting the wall that borders the orchard area, specifically in the Miranda zone.
As a result of the fall, the brick structure was damaged, with some bricks having fallen. Despite the size of the tree, initial reports confirmed that no personal injuries had occurred.
A unit of the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) was dispatched to the scene. Their work focused on securing the affected wall to prevent further brick falls and cutting the tree trunk to eliminate any additional risk.
The Puig-reig Town Council is scheduled to assess the material damage on Monday and begin the necessary work to repair the section of the wall that was damaged by the impact.
