Among the most notable movements is the departure of Father Pepe Chisvert as rector of Sant Julià de Lòria and that of Antoni Elvira from the parish of Escaldes-Engordany. Chisvert will take on the rectorship of Sant Ot de la Seu d’Urgell and several communities in Alt Urgell, while Joan Pau Esteban will be responsible for Sant Julià and the church of Santa Coloma d’Andorra la Vella.

Antoni Elvira, after two years leading Escaldes, will become the new vicar general and moderator of the curia of the Diocese of Urgell. His replacement in Escaldes will be Fr. David Codina, who will combine the rectorship of Sant Pere Màrtir with the position of diocesan administrator.

The appointments, signed by Bishop Josep-Lluís Serrano i Pentinat on May 28th, will take effect on September 1, 2026. The complete list includes various assignments to parishes in La Seu d’Urgell, Cerdanya, Alt Urgell, the Aran Valley, and other surrounding areas.

Changes have also been announced in other roles, such as Ms. Anna Maria Villas Balasch as the new general secretary and chancellor of the curia, and Dr. Francesc Torralba i Roselló as director of the Diocesan School of Permanent Formation.
