The President of the Consell Comarcal, Isidre Chia, visited the expansion works of the Senior Community Center this week to monitor the progress and evaluate various aspects of the project, such as the choice of tiles, paint, and finishing materials.
With this expansion, the Center will double its available space, offering a facility prepared to host a varied program of activities that promote participation, social relations, and active aging, consolidating its role as a reference point for seniors throughout Cerdanya.
The project also includes the renovation of the garden connecting the Center to the Casa Gran, the headquarters of the Consell Comarcal. This outdoor space will be reopened to the public during the day, creating a more accessible and pleasant environment for social gatherings and outdoor activities.
Through these actions, the Consell Comarcal reaffirms its commitment to improving services and facilities for the elderly, as well as promoting coexistence, participation, and territorial development.
