Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), under the Pirineu365 brand, will strengthen its teams with more than 300 new hires to meet the needs of its ski resorts during the upcoming winter season. These needs are driven by weather conditions, visitor demand, event organization, and other circumstances.
The job openings include positions such as ski patrollers and ski patrol rescuers, lift operators and snow groomer machine drivers, administration, maintenance, ticket office, and equipment rental staff, mechanics, and information officers.
La Molina, Espot, and Port Ainé stations will see the largest number of new hires, with 98 positions for the Cerdanya resort and 93 for the Pallars resorts. Boí Taüll, Vallter, and Vall de Núria will also be hiring new staff. Interested individuals can apply to any of the Pirineu365 ski and mountain resorts.
This recruitment drive contributes to economic activity and job creation in the mountain regions. The activity generated by FGC's six mountain resorts accounts for approximately 11% of the regional GVA and 8% of the total employment in the Alta Ribagorça, Pallars Sobirà, Cerdanya, and Ripollès comarques, according to sustainability study data.
Last season, the Pirineu365 resorts surpassed one million visitors for the first time (1,018,801), with an average of 124 days of snow sports open. FGC's objective is to continue increasing visitor numbers and maintain a quality service thanks to the resort teams.
