The building's ceilings are now adorned with a sky full of shooting stars, while the four main chapels display paintings representing the different seasons of the year.
The inauguration coincided with the Diada de Sant Llorenç (Saint Lawrence's Day), the patron saint of the town's main festival, and was presided over by the bishop of La Seu.
Neighbors, faithful, and curious attendees were amazed by the transformation, the work of local artist Penélope Clot. Her vision has captured shooting stars on a newly painted blue ceiling.
“"I imagined it because it's exactly what I projected. But some projects surpass you, and this is one of them."
This new design, the result of months of work, presented a significant challenge for Clot. The final outcome has garnered positive comments and will allow fans of the 'tears of Saint Lawrence' to enjoy the festivities in a renewed setting.
