The Conca de Barberà region celebrated the VII Regional Devils Gathering in Solivella, reviving a festive tradition after almost ten years of absence and bringing together 250 participants.

The town of Solivella was the setting last Saturday for a night full of fire, sparks, and popular culture with the celebration of the VII Regional Devils Gathering of Conca de Barberà. This gathering, which revives a highly anticipated event, had not been held for almost a decade and brought together a total of 250 devils, of which 190 were adults and 60 belonged to children's groups, making the municipality the epicentre of festive fire in the region.
The day began in the afternoon with the gathering of the children's groups, which featured the participation of the children's group Dimonis de Montblanc and the Diables Kids de l’Espluga de Francolí. Subsequently, the band Pujats de To entertained the town's streets, preparing the atmosphere for the night's highlight: the correfoc (fire run).
From half-past ten at night, Solivella was illuminated by the participation of Dimonis de Montblanc, Diables de l’Espluga de Francolí, Diables Keresus de Santa Coloma de Queralt, Diables de Pira, and Diables Rigor Mortis de Solivella, the hosts and organizers of the event.
Hundreds of people followed the correfoc route, a celebration that not only served to revive a deeply rooted tradition in Conca de Barberà but also to strengthen the bonds between the participating groups. The main objective of the gathering was to advocate for festive fire as a fundamental element of Catalan popular culture and to ensure the continuity of this regional event.
The festivities continued with a fellowship dinner and a music session at the municipal pavilion featuring Richi-C and Mad Go, marking the end of a day characterized by massive participation, community spirit, and the return of a long-awaited celebration.
The programme of activities is not yet over. On Thursday, June 4th, a photographic exhibition of the gathering will be inaugurated, and on Saturday, June 6th, the exhibition can be visited along with an electronic vermouth with PD Xati.
