The family and friends of Anna Carrasco Martí, from l'Espluga de Francolí, launched a Verkami campaign to publish her posthumous story Em quedo amb vosaltres, raising over €6,800 in days.

The solidarity initiative aims to dedicate all profits to improving the comfort of oncology patients during cancer treatments in hospital facilities. In less than a week, the project has already secured €6,810 thanks to 165 patrons, and the campaign will remain open for 37 more days.
The work, titled Em quedo amb vosaltres (I Stay With You), was written by Anna during her battle with the disease as a personal legacy, inspired by moments shared with her son Dídac and partner Joan. The story, set in the Poblet forest in the Muntanyes de Prades, discusses the importance of memory and the active presence of those who have passed away.

"Anna planted a story and we will make it grow. It is a story that speaks to us about the importance of lived moments and that, at the same time, can give strength to people and families experiencing similar situations."

The funds raised will not be used for research, but for concrete actions to humanize the hospital stay, such as acquiring more comfortable cushions, ergonomic armchairs, warm blankets, and books. The editing and printing of the story are scheduled for 2026, with a public presentation planned for August of next year.

"With this project, we want to continue Anna's wish: to publish the book and dedicate all the money obtained to improving comfort in cancer treatment rooms. During her treatment, she saw that small actions, such as having a cushion to rest her arm or having more comfortable armchairs, could make an inherently unpleasant moment more bearable."
