The century-old Patufet head will be displayed restored for the first time this Saturday, at 7 PM in La Plaça (La Torreta), during a welcome children's party. This municipal piece, managed by the Agrupació de Balls Populars, has undergone interior and exterior restoration work to ensure its preservation.
This restoration completes a series of interventions that have updated significant figures such as the Gegants Vells, Gegants Nous, Cubanitos, and the Àliga. The Councilor for Traditions and Festivals, Eva Martín Martínez, highlighted the work done to preserve the municipal festive heritage, confirming that structural issues with several pieces have been resolved.
The restored Patufet will await the procession of the Gegants de la Vila, Cubanitos, Drac, and Àliga at La Plaça (La Torreta), after they depart from the Festes venue. This procession, accompanied by the Suburband band, will bring the figures to the Town Hall, where they will be exhibited until the Sortida de les Dues on August 23rd.
