The Book Truck initiative will be available at the Cap de la Vila on Tuesday, August 25th, between 10 AM and 2 PM, allowing citizens to choose and take books for free. This book van is located at this central point in Sitges every last Tuesday of the month.
This activity, managed by the Department of Image and Public Space, aims to minimize waste, a fundamental pillar of the municipal environmental policies.
The available book collection comes from material renewals from the Sitges libraries and private donations. Once a sufficient quantity has been gathered, the Book Truck moves to this location.
Individuals interested in donating their books can do so at the Municipal Recycling Center using the Smart Sitges card. This card can be requested online through the City Council's electronic office. With a minimum of ten registered contributions, a 20% discount is applied to the next waste collection fee.
