The Local Government Board, meeting last Monday, has retroactively approved two collaboration agreements between the Consell Comarcal del Garraf and the Sitges City Council. These agreements aim to improve employment and vocational training opportunities in Sitges.
The first agreement focuses on the Integral Plus 2025 program, to be developed during 2026. This program is part of the Garraf Employment Pact and seeks to integrate unemployed individuals. The second agreement, meanwhile, will promote the Orienta program, dedicated to professional guidance and insertion support for unemployed people and workers facing job precarity.
Additionally, the Board has approved a subsidy of €8,036.77 for the parents' association of the Esteve Barrachina school. These funds will support monitoring services for summer camp activities aimed at children with special educational needs, aiming to enhance their autonomy and inclusion.
The municipal body has also granted a subsidy of €5,000 to the entity Associació Amis for the project "Cos i ment en moviment" (Body and Mind in Motion) during the 2026 fiscal year. This initiative aims to foster the cognitive and physical development of individuals with functional diversity through adapted activities.
Among the approved agreements are also the procurement file for the homologation of service providers for City Council events, the justification of aid to promote employment at the company Restaurant La Oca S.L., the initial approval of the Urban Improvement Plan PMU3 Fondo d’en Selva, and the regulations for the autumn-winter 2026 craft and gift fair-market.
