More than 90 healthcare professionals gathered at the Espai Neàpolis in Vilanova i la Geltrú for the III Pediatrics Conference, organized by the Consorci Sanitari Alt Penedès-Garraf and the Atenció Primària Penedès of the Institut Català de la Salut.

The meeting addressed key topics in daily pediatric practice, including type 1 diabetes, iron-deficiency anemia, sleep disorders, burns, travel-related infections, and the protocol for severely polytraumatized patients. The conference featured a combination of lectures, round tables, and clinical case presentations.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Teresa Sabater, Director of the Penedès Health Sector; Olga Farré, Manager of CSAPG; and Daniel Ferrer-Vidal, Manager of the Primary and Community Care Management of Penedès (ICS). The round tables fostered debate and the sharing of experiences between hospital and primary care teams.
A participatory Kahoot quiz was held to test attendees' knowledge. The closing session highlighted innovation in pediatrics with the presentation of Nixi for Children, an initiative using virtual reality for hospitalized children.
The positive reception of the conference underscores the need to continue fostering spaces for shared work and professional development in the region, promoting collaboration between hospital and primary care to ensure high-quality pediatric services.
