The Festival Commission has organized a celebration aimed at resident participation, offering a weekend full of cultural, sports, and solidarity activities.
The festival will kick off on Friday, July 24th, with an Impro Show at 8 PM, followed by a Rural Cinema Under the Stars event. The village's 'pubilla' (maiden) and 'hereu' (heir) will also be chosen.
Saturday, July 25th, will be dedicated to sports and family activities. In the morning, the traditional 'Married vs. Single' and 'Little Ones vs. Not-So-Little Ones' football match will take place, concluding with a splash in the pool at Sant Joan les Fonts. In the afternoon, a Foam Party and a children's mobile disco will entertain the youngest attendees, preceding the Popular Dinner and a dance with the Dúo Atenea.
Sunday, July 26th, will begin with more solemn activities, including a mass at the Begudà church, attended by the Bishop of Girona, Fra Octavi Vilà. During the service, a project to paint the church will be presented, with accompaniment from the Coral Polígola, followed by traditional dances and a vermouth.
In the afternoon, family water activities will take center stage with slides and an Xtrem Race. A solidarity snack, with a 4 euro contribution, will donate all proceeds to the Albert Bosch Foundation for childhood cancer research, in collaboration with Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona and Josep Trueta in Girona.
The festival will also feature a food truck service offering local products. The dedication of the Festival Commission makes this diverse program possible for a weekend full of activities.
