The tournament, which had 91 participants divided into 10 teams, awarded prizes to the winner, Diambar, and the most sporting team, Marsellès. Medals were also given to all participants and trophies to the second and third place teams, Mas Teixidor and Lation FC. The awardees received gifts from collaborators.
This initiative, created four years ago, began on July 6th and brought together young people aged 15 to 25 from across the region, organized into teams of 8 to 12 people. The activity is supported by the Culture and Education Area, the Sports Area, and the Oficina Jove of the Olot City Council.
The championship aims to create healthy meeting spaces for young people, using sport as a tool to strengthen community ties and foster its values. Emphasis is placed on coexistence, inclusion, and fun over competitiveness, promoting participation for all youth regardless of their skill level.
The award ceremony was presided over by the president of the Consell Comarcal de la Garrotxa, Albert Danés, and the president of Unió Esportiva Olot, Joan Agustí. The final referee was Miquel Canal, known as “Migueli”.
As a prelude, a training session was organized for team captains, focusing on game rules and sportsmanship values. Representatives from the technical areas celebrated the tournament's realization, highlighting its role in fostering cohesion.
