The incident occurred after the driver of a vehicle fled from the police and drove dangerously on the GI-524 road. Officers attempted to stop the car in the Olot area, but the driver ignored their signals and initiated a pursuit towards Santa Pau.
During the chase, the vehicle drove recklessly on the GI-524. The pursuit ended in the Sallent neighborhood when the car went off the road and hit the fence of a private property.
