The activity "Discover the Heritage of Bosc de Tosca with Viquipedra," part of Olot Architecture 2026, allowed for the rediscovery of dry stone constructions in this unique area of Les Preses municipality.

Last Saturday, Bosc de Tosca hosted an event dedicated to showcasing its dry stone heritage. The activity, included in the Olot Architecture 2026 program, was attended by the mayor of Les Preses, Albert Danés, who welcomed Joan Pijuan, director of the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa, along with teams from the Natural Park and the Observatori del Paisatge (Landscape Observatory).
The session began with a presentation by Jordi Grau from the Observatori del Paisatge, introducing Viquipedra, a collaborative inventory of dry stone constructions. Subsequently, Emili Bassols from the Parc Natural delved into the natural and cultural values of Bosc de Tosca.
Participants then embarked on a guided tour of various locations within the area, accompanied by Joan Montserrat from the Parc Natural. During the walk, they discovered dry stone huts hidden among the vegetation and could access their information via the Viquipedra application.
The day provided an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of preserving and promoting this heritage, which is integral to the identity and landscape of Les Preses. The Ajuntament de les Preses expresses its gratitude to the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa and the Observatori del Paisatge for their participation and initiative.
