The event will feature performances by three local DJs: Brook Newman, Degree, and Sayto. Organized by the City Council, the aim is to introduce electronic music to the public in a natural setting and promote local talent.
DJ Degree, the artistic name of Eduard Grau Negre, began his career in 2008 and has performed alongside artists such as Albert Neve and Taito Tikaro. Sayto, meanwhile, explores sounds like Drum and Bass and Hard Techno, having released the track “Goes Hard” on the British label Grand Theft Audio.
Brook Newman, the pseudonym of Quim Planas, started DJing and producing at 13 and has played at festivals like Telecogresca. Since October 2024, he has focused his music on the Trance genre.
The Councilor for Culture, Joan Casabó, stated, "This first edition of Barril Electrònic is a commitment to giving visibility to local talent and, at the same time, bringing electronic music closer to the citizens in a different, outdoor environment. We want it to be an open proposal for everyone."
Food services will be provided by the Entitat Gastronòmica, and drinks by the Comissió de festes.
