Girona-Costa Brava Airport has launched two new air connections with the United Kingdom, linking to Gatwick and Edinburgh airports, operated by Jet2.

The new route to London Gatwick will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This addition brings the Girona airport's direct connections to the British capital to five, making it one of its most relevant markets.
As for the connection to Edinburgh, Scotland, it will have a weekly frequency on Sundays. This route had been previously operational, both by Ryanair until 2021 and by Jet2 itself until 2019, and is now being reinstated for this season.
Jet2's commitment to Girona Airport is solidified with these new routes, adding to existing flights to other London airports such as Luton and Stansted, as well as various destinations across the United Kingdom.
Currently, the Girona airport offers flights to 48 destinations in 15 countries, strengthening its international connectivity, especially with key markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, and Poland. For this season, five new routes have been scheduled, including Bucharest, Luxembourg, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, and Palma.

"The connection with European capitals and the Brexit zone is consolidating, contributing to positioning the airport as a strategic gateway in its entire area of influence."
