The F’Estiu festival celebrates its sixth edition from August 13th to 22nd in Calonge i Sant Antoni, presenting an ambitious lineup at the Castle of Calonge. The festival will feature prominent performances by Els Amics de les Arts, who will open the event, Judit Neddermann accompanied by the GIO Symphonia, and La Ludwig Band, which has already sold out tickets. Artistic director Francesc Sánchez Carcassés highlights the strong ticket sales pace.
As a major new addition, the festival introduces F’Estiueig, a platform dedicated to providing space for local emerging artists. This new section will take place on a separate stage, also in the evenings at the Castle of Calonge, opening at 8 PM, two hours before the main concerts, and will include a gastronomic area and leisure space.
The main concerts will be held in the castle gardens, with a standing capacity of 700 people, and in the Courtyard, with seating for approximately 400 spectators. Ticket prices range from 10 to 35 euros. Among the emerging artists featured in F’Estiueig are the duo Camèlia, Emma Sayer, the band Oli de Cop, Diana Murr, Tona Gafarot, Eye Tana, and the Sant Andreu Tercet.
The program also includes the 20th-anniversary celebration tours of Els Amics de les Arts and the Sant Andreu Jazz Band. Judit Neddermann will present her 10-year career show, while La Ludwig Band is consolidating its position as a reference in Catalan music. There will also be a performance by baritone Guillem Batllori and a collaboration between coblas Sant Jordi and La Principal de Llobregat, who will premiere a new sardana.
