Throughout the weekend, Girona transformed into a family gathering point thanks to Festivalot. The event filled emblematic spaces such as Girona's Auditorium, the Trade Fair Palace, and La Devesa park, offering a blend of concerts, workshops, and open-access activities designed to spark creativity in the younger generation and all participants.
With an attendance of 30,000 people, the festival matched previous editions' figures, solidifying its reputation as a "quality experience for all ages," according to the organization. Despite coinciding with a film shoot in the city, participation remained strong, generating enthusiasm for future editions.
The 11th edition of Festivalot featured a notable lineup including performances by artists such as Els Catarres, Miki Núñez, Alfred García, The Tyets, Ginestà, and Els Atrapasomnis. The success was such that concert tickets sold out before the weekend began. The program was complemented by sports activities, popular culture events, and play areas, along with food trucks providing rest stops for families.
Joan Enric Barceló, representing Els Amics de les Arts and one of Festivalot's artistic directors, expressed pride in seeing how Festivalot becomes the first live music festival for many children in Catalonia. The organization's goal is to grow in quality and attendee comfort, ensuring a pleasant and human experience rather than focusing on quantity. The musical group and their mascot bid farewell to the festival, which is expected to continue until 2027.
