After performing at its main stage, Mar d’en Manassa, the Portalblau festival is moving to the ruins of Empúries for its grand finale. La Fúmiga and Naina, Judit Neddermann with the GIO Symphonia, and Sopa de Cabra will headline at the Roman Forum. Tickets for Sopa de Cabra's performance are already sold out.
On Friday, La Fúmiga will present their farewell concert as part of the "L’últim abraç" tour at 10 PM. This will be one of their last shows in the province, with a special performance set against the backdrop of the ancient Roman remains. Emerging artist Naina (Aina Escrivà) will introduce her debut album, "Vives o mortes", which features collaborations with artists like La Fúmiga.
On Saturday, Judit Neddermann and the GIO Symphonia, conducted by Joan Albert Amargós, will present a collaborative project celebrating the singer's decade-long career. Neddermann describes the experience as feeling "the voice embraced, elevated, and magnified" with a unique sound.
On Sunday, Sopa de Cabra will close the Portalblau summer concerts with a retrospective of their greatest hits, marking their 40th anniversary. Songs such as "Camins", "L’Empordà", and "El far del sud" will be part of the setlist for this concert in Empúries, for which all tickets are already gone.
Portalblau will continue its programming into the autumn with offerings that blend music, performing arts, and thought. This includes the Escenari Portalblau Competition for emerging bands, free shows by artists like LECOQ and the Esbart Manresà, the "Germans Ortega" performance in Vilajuïga, and talks at l’Alfolí de la Sal with Jordi Pigem, Juan García del Muro, and neurologist Yolanda Silva Blas on human challenges and stroke prevention.
