Girona City Council has launched the tender process to renovate a building in the Vista Alegre-Carme neighborhood, aiming to transform it into a multipurpose facility for the public.

The project, with a budget of 136,552.34 euros, involves a comprehensive intervention covering 348.62 m². The works, scheduled for a four-month execution period, will create seven rooms of varying sizes for social, educational, cultural, and sports activities.
The renovation includes updating electrical installations, repairing restrooms —including one accessible for people with reduced mobility—, painting, replacing woodwork, and reorganizing interior spaces. The building currently suffers from issues such as dampness and obsolete furniture, which will be removed.
This new facility, located at the lower part of Vista Alegre park, will join the municipal network of civic centers and be attached to the Barri Vell-Mercadal Civic Center. The space will host local entities, including the open center for children and youth, the scout group, and various sports and neighborhood associations.
