The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) has officially confirmed the LF Endesa calendar, following its initial publication and subsequent withdrawal a few days ago. The main novelty is the advancement of the final matchday of the regular league, which will now take place on April 17th, four days earlier than initially planned.
This change in the final matchday's date also means an earlier start for the play-offs, which will commence the following weekend. The aim is to allow teams to play consecutive home and away games in their respective knockout ties. Furthermore, April 19th, 20th, and 21st are reserved as a buffer in case any team reaches the EuroLeague Final Six, enabling them to play their final regular league game before the play-offs.
The modifications are not limited to dates alone. Matchdays 24 and 26 have had their order swapped. Consequently, the Spar Girona team will visit Euskotren on matchday 24. The visit to Ferrol, originally scheduled for matchday 24, will now take place on matchday 26. As initially planned, Spar Girona will kick off the season on October 3rd at the Movistar Estudiantes court.
