Enrollment figures for the first year of Vocational Training (FP) in Catalonia continue to rise once the academic year has begun. As of October 6th, there have been 46,882 enrollments in Intermediate Level Vocational Training Cycles (GM) and 37,792 in Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles (GS), totaling 84,674 students.
The pre-enrollment and enrollment process has continued beyond the official start of the course on September 14th. On September 8th, a map was published listing 13,829 vacant places (6,427 for GM and 7,402 for GS). This number significantly decreased as the month progressed, dropping to 10,482 on September 14th and 7,394 on September 21st.
Of the students coming from Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) who did not secure a place in the ordinary July process, a significant percentage have continued their studies. As of October 9th, out of 2,710 priority students for GM who were not assigned, 1,554 (57.3%) were enrolled in registered courses, of which 70% accessed a GM. Regarding the 3,811 priority students for GS who were not assigned, 1,372 (36%) were enrolled, with 92.8% opting for a GS.
The remaining students not located in the student registry (RALC) may have opted for studies not included in this registry, such as adult education centers, non-face-to-face private FP, or may have found employment. The possibility of having opted for a university degree has also been mentioned for GS applicants.
