The devices, located on Rhode Avenue and the Circumval·lació ring road, will now issue fines for detected infractions following the awareness period.

The City Council urges citizens to respect the posted speed limits for the benefit of road safety and accident prevention.

The cameras were installed last December with the aim of strengthening speed control and reducing accident risk at the main entrances and exits of the municipality. They have been placed in areas with high traffic intensity and sudden speed changes, where accidents had occurred previously.

These zones accommodate various user types, including private vehicles, heavy transport, bicycles, and pedestrians, necessitating specific measures to ensure safer and more orderly traffic flow. Both cameras are clearly identifiable and preceded by the appropriate informational signage.
