The police operation focused on a property on Gola de l’Estany street, where a judicial entry and search were conducted. This location is allegedly linked to the activities of street vendors, serving as a storage space for merchandise.
During the search, 532 pairs of sneakers, 443 handbags, 422 branded stickers, 131 metal logos, 36 scarves, and three belts were confiscated, totaling 1,590 pieces.
The operation, which proceeded without incident according to the town hall, is part of the coordinated efforts between different police forces to combat illegal street vending, protect local businesses, and ensure coexistence during the summer.
This action continues previous efforts to reduce the presence of street vendors in Roses and combat networks distributing counterfeit products, following similar operations recently conducted in the neighboring municipality of Castelló d’Empúries.
In 2025, a similar large-scale operation in Roses confiscated over 20,000 counterfeit products. Furthermore, during the same year, the Girona region saw a 126% increase in seized counterfeit items, reaching 113,891 pieces.
