Spar Girona, coached by Roberto Íñiguez, will debut on Friday, August 28th at 8:00 PM against Manresa CBF. The following day, Saturday, August 29th, also at 8:00 PM, it will be the turn of the men's FIATC Girona, who will face the English team Cheshire Phoenix.
Tickets for the tournament are now on sale through the club's official website. Prices remain the same as last season: €10 for general admission and €25 for row 0 for the FIATC Girona match, and €5 for general admission and €20 for row 0 (courtside) for Spar Girona.
This will be the second edition of the tournament in Platja d'Aro. Last year, FIATC Girona played against Barça and Spar Girona against Santfeliuenc. This year, the dates are two weeks earlier, making it the first pre-season friendly match for all four participating teams.
The relationship between Bàsquet Girona and Platja d'Aro has been strengthening since 2020, with various joint initiatives including advertising, training sessions, matches, a basketball campus for children and young people, and the presentation of official kits and the 3x3 section.
