Argentine forward Claudio Echeverri, owned by Manchester City, is close to finalizing his loan move to Girona FC this January, pending the club resolving an administrative procedure to free up a non-EU player slot.

The attacker, known as the Diablito, has been training in the Girona area for two weeks with permission from the English club, integrated into the group under Míchel's command. The operation, conditioned on the departure of Jhon Solís or Juan Asprilla, will allow Girona to add offensive talent thanks to the collaboration with the City Football Group (CFG).
Echeverri, only 20 years old and developed at River Plate, is a creative and unbalancing player who can operate both centrally and on the wing. This loan follows an unproductive spell at Bayer Leverkusen, where he played a residual role before the agreement was mutually dissolved.

Girona views this loan as a market opportunity to add talent and quality to the final third of the pitch thanks to the CFG.

Simultaneously, Girona's sporting management is also looking to reinforce the midfield, especially if Solís's departure is confirmed. The club has shown interest in Albanian defensive midfielder Kristjan Asllani, 23, owned by Inter Milan, who will break his current loan agreement with Torino.
