The ski resorts in the Girona Pyrenees, including La Molina, Masella, Vall de Núria, and Vallter, welcomed nearly 150,000 skiers during the Christmas holidays, driven by the 100% opening of their ski domains.

The high influx registered during the Christmas period is mainly due to the optimal snow conditions, with depths reaching up to 250 cm. These conditions were made possible by significant snowfalls between December 25 and December 27, complemented by a previous storm during the week of December 22.
Regarding the resorts in La Cerdanya, La Molina, managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), recorded an attendance of nearly 73,000 people. FGC spokespeople highlighted that favorable weather conditions allowed the opening of all slopes. The other major resort in the region, La Masella, had days with over 9,000 skiers, with nearby hotels fully booked weeks in advance.

"Our visitors have been able to enjoy unforgettable experiences, not only with skiing but also with everything that Pirineu365 offers in terms of complementary activities and gastronomic options."

Enric Serra Teixidó · Director of Business and Strategy at FGC Turisme
The success extended to the resorts in El Ripollès. Vall de Núria closed the holidays with 27,300 visitors, offering 100% of the ski domain open and all activities in the leisure park available. For its part, Vallter registered over 16,300 visitors, accumulating more than 2.5 meters of snow this season, which also allowed the total opening of its slopes.
