The State has issued two unfavorable reports regarding the new Trueta Hospital project in Girona, warning about the impact on AP-7 traffic and noise pollution.

The two reports, initially reported by the Diari de Girona, focus on environmental impact and infrastructure issues. One key point is the anticipated increase in traffic on the AP-7 motorway, an already congested route, and the other concerns potential noise pollution generated around the new location.
Despite these administrative setbacks, the involved city councils, Girona and Salt, maintain confidence in the established timeline. Local administrations hope that these reports will not cause a significant delay in the planning process.
The current forecast estimates that the new hospital center, a vital infrastructure for the Girona regions, will be fully ready and operational by the end of 2031, as previously announced.
