UBSA continues to prove that this season they intend to be one of the main contenders in the Copa Catalunya league. The Sant Adrià team fought an authentic battle at the Ricart pavilion, winning 96-93 against CB Vall d’en Bas in a thrilling match that needed two overtimes to determine the winner.
The visitors started strongly, capitalizing on local errors to lead at halftime (31-39). However, UBSA did not give up and, after overcoming a 12-point deficit, staged a great comeback in the third quarter, culminating in a 59-59 tie that brought them back into the game.
The final period was a constant exchange of baskets and emotions. Neither team managed to pull away, forcing the first overtime. With the crowd fully engaged, the Sant Adrià side withstood the pressure and pushed the game into a second heart-stopping overtime, where composure and accuracy in key moments tipped the balance.
Marc Quiles led the offensive charge with a spectacular performance, scoring 32 points. Marc Talaverón and Narcís Aragall were also decisive, scoring vital baskets in the final moments. With this victory, UBSA accumulates four wins in five rounds (4-1) and solidifies its third position in the standings, showing great maturity and intensity.
