As part of a dossier on renewable energies, Sánchez and Terés, promoters of the Associació de Municipis per a la Reforma del PLATER (Association of Municipalities for the Reform of PLATER), presented their views on the Territorial Sectorial Plan for the Development of Renewable Energies in Catalonia (PLATER). They emphasized that they do not question the energy transition itself, but rather the method of planning its territorial deployment.
The mayors assert that the current model must incorporate the reality of rural municipalities in defining future renewable energy projects, demanding a process with greater local participation. This position has also been recently presented at various debate sessions on renewables and rural areas.
