The bookstore La Fosforera, which defines itself as "a small literary garden" and began its activity in Arenys de Mar in 2022, has opened its doors to the "Volunteering for Language" (VxL) program. The establishment, known for its wide selection of books for all ages and topics, as well as its cultural activities, now offers its space for language pairs to meet.
Èlia, the bookstore's owner, in addition to managing the establishment and advising clients, also conducts reading motivation workshops in schools. With this spirit of community contribution, La Fosforera makes its space available, which will become a meeting point with "warmth and charm" on Tuesday to Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday afternoons from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
With this adhesion, La Fosforera demonstrates its commitment to the Catalan language and joins the network of over 200 collaborating establishments, entities, and public bodies in the VxL program in the Maresme region.
