The Arenys de Mar City Council has begun improvement works for the access to the dog recreation area at the top of La Riera, aiming to facilitate traffic and increase road safety.

The works, starting next Monday, November 9th, focus on improving access to the BV-511 road from Barcelona street. This action is a response to one of the winning proposals from the 2025 participatory budgets to enhance accessibility at this point, also including the sidewalk section of Passatge Pompeu Fabra.
In addition to adapting the space for improved accessibility, traffic patterns will be modified. The area will transition from a single entry lane to two lanes: one for entry and one for exit. A traffic light will be installed to regulate traffic flow.
Regarding traffic disruptions, access from the road to the side street and Barcelona street will not be closed. However, occasional temporary closures may occur during the necessary trenching for the new traffic light's cabling.
