The episode of torrential rain in Canet de Mar has left a record of 153.6 l/m² according to the Vil·la Flora meteorological station. Municipal services, including the Brigade, Local Police, and cleaning teams, have been working since early morning to address the various incidents recorded.
The intensity of the rain was reflected in a peak of 240 l/m²/h at 2:49 AM. The water has washed away stones, sand, and other materials, affecting sensitive areas such as the surroundings of the Municipal Funeral Home, the vicinity of Plaça Onze de Setembre, and the Misericòrdia School. Despite the improvement during the morning, the restrictions activated by Civil Protection due to flood risk remain in effect until 2 PM this Sunday, October 4th. Prudence is advised, unnecessary travel should be avoided, and access to streams or flood-prone areas should be refrained from.
