The city of Calella has presented the program and posters for the Minerva Festival and the Calella and Alt Maresme Fair 2026, which will take place from September 22 to 27.

The Calella Handball Union (UEHC) will kick off the Minerva Festival, while for the first time, the Fair will have its own opening speech delivered by Maresme-born actor Joan Pera. The Fair, starting on September 23, will be dedicated to the Maresme region and will be held at the Manuel Puigvert promenade.
The Minerva Festival will offer around forty events for all ages. Among the new additions is an expanded traditional Catalan music offering for children, featuring Beta de 3Cat on September 26. A popular young people's dinner will also be held before the Esbojarrada parade. The festival will feature performances by La Principal de la Bisbal (September 23) and Orquestra Himalaya (September 27).
The Barraques (tents) will be a musical hub for five days, with artists such as The Tyets, Els Catarres, Banda Neon, and local artist Aina da Silva. The festival will conclude on September 27 with the Pyromusical show on Gran Beach.
The 45th edition of the Calella and Alt Maresme Fair will focus on the Maresme region under the slogan “Culture, from the sea and the mountain”. A central area will be dedicated to the Maresme's heritage, featuring tastings, workshops, and talks. The Fair will host 90 exhibitors, over 20 performances, and 50 free activities. Actor Joan Pera will perform on September 23.
The mayor of Calella, Marc Buch, encouraged residents to enjoy the festivities, while the Councilor for Culture, Josep Grima, highlighted the city's vibrancy. The event visuals, designed by Sergi Cugat, depict the two Minervas for the Festival and a Calella landscape for the Fair.
Tickets for the Fair are available at a promotional price of €1 in advance until September 10, and €3 for general admission, with free entry for retirees, pensioners, and children under 12.
