Government Prioritizes N-II in Maresme and Commuter Rail for New Political Term

The executive includes the pacification of the old highway and the improvement of commuter rail among the main infrastructure objectives for the new political term.

The Government has placed the pacification of the N-II highway in the Maresme region and the improvement of Rodalies (commuter rail) among the main infrastructure priorities for the new political term, which begins this Monday.

The Catalan executive will hold working sessions at the Monastery of Les Avellanes, in Os de Balaguer (Noguera region), this Friday and Saturday. The aim is to define the strategy for the new term and boost the Government's actions, with a special focus on public services and infrastructure.
Among the key projects to be discussed is the transformation of the N-II as it passes through Maresme. This pacification project seeks to adapt the old highway to a more urban environment and reduce through-traffic, complementing the actions planned for the C-32.
The modernization of Rodalies infrastructure and its adaptation to user needs will also be a central topic for mobility during the new political term.
