The Maresme region concentrated 3,624 services, while la Selva registered 2,594, figures that reflect the high activity of the corps. Across Catalonia, the Firefighters executed 62,639 operations, an increase of 9% compared to the previous year.
The most common services were rescues (salvaments), urban fires, and technical assistance. These interventions are often linked to extreme weather events, incidents in homes, and accidents related to mobility.
2025 was marked by specific high-intensity events, such as heavy rains, wind, and the generalized power outage on April 28. During these days, the Firefighters had to intensify operations, especially in rescuing people trapped in elevators or dealing with incidents derived from bad weather.
Another moment of peak activity was the Sant Joan celebration, with 1,209 services attended between June 23 and 24 nationwide. Globally in Catalonia, more than 18,000 rescues, nearly 15,000 urban fires, and over 13,000 technical assistance services were performed.
