Viñolas' candidacy, the only one presented in the internal process, received 21 favorable votes at an extraordinary assembly held on Saturday morning.

During her speech, the current mayor defended municipal politics as a tool for public service, proximity, and positive transformation in people's lives. She stated that she faces this new stage with enthusiasm, responsibility, and experience, describing the current term as intense and demanding.

The next step will be to submit the proposal to the Maresme Federation for the national PSC bodies to officially ratify it during June.
