Following the severe effects and damage caused by the storm, the council has made several decisions to ensure safety and public services. 17 temporary toilets have been installed at the school and municipal facilities to maintain services while the sewage system is repaired.
Furthermore, cultural and festive events scheduled for the coming days have been suspended, along with all activities planned for the affected afternoons at municipal facilities. Citizens are urged to exercise extreme caution, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow information through official channels.
The Government Delegate in Barcelona visited the municipality to assess the damage, accompanied by the mayor, Xavier Masgrau González, who conveyed the urgent need for resources to restore the municipality's infrastructure. Information has also been provided regarding water supply disruptions, with technicians working to repair network faults.
Residents who have suffered damage are reminded to follow recommendations for managing the damage. Due to the alert for intense rainfall, the Òrrius School was temporarily closed, in agreement with the Department of Education and the school's management team.
