The old asbestos roof of the Sala Albeniz has been removed, a necessary measure for public health and safety that had been requested for years. The newly installed roof is a sandwich panel type, definitively eliminating the risk associated with asbestos.
This intervention not only ensures safety but also substantially improves the space's thermal and acoustic insulation. Consequently, the facility's energy efficiency is increased, and overall building protection is enhanced.
The next phase of the project involves the installation of new seating, expected to be ready by autumn. This work is considered a priority for both safety reasons and the preservation of the historic building.
The works, which began in early July, cost 74,098.5 euros and are funded by the Diputación de Barcelona.
