The Amposta hockey and skating pavilion will become the venue for the Catalan U13 Roller Hockey Championship on the weekends of June 6-7 and 13-14, bringing together five territorial selections.

The sporting event will take place over two consecutive weekends. On June 6 and 7, the men's category will be contested, while on June 13 and 14, it will be the women's turn. The competition will feature five territorial selections: Barcelona North, Barcelona South, Girona, Lleida, and Tarragona. These teams will compete in a group stage culminating in the semi-finals and the grand final on the Sunday of each weekend.
The organization of the championship is the result of joint work between the Club Hoquei Amposta, families, the Catalan Skating Federation, and the Amposta City Council. The city's mayor, Adam Tomàs, has highlighted the importance of synergies between entities, citizens, and local administration to promote sports in the city.
The territorial representative for sports in Terres de l’Ebre, Montse Pegueroles, has emphasized the event's significance in promoting women's sports and providing opportunities for young athletes in the region. She thanked all involved parties, including volunteers.
From the Club Hoquei Amposta, its president, Pau Esquerré, expressed satisfaction in hosting a competition of this magnitude, describing hockey as “a way of life”.
Meanwhile, the delegate of the Catalan Skating Federation in Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre, Benedicte Piquer, recognized the Club Hoquei Amposta as a “benchmark in Catalonia” and took the opportunity to call for increased investment in sports facilities in the region, stating that events like this generate “wealth and health”.
