The Amposta City Council will launch a new Traditional Construction and Sustainable Renovation Skills House. This initiative is part of the 'Treball als Barris' program and the 'Pla de Barris i Viles' from the Generalitat de Catalunya. Its goal is to offer participants training, professional experience, and enhance their access to the job market.
According to Mayor Adam Tomàs, the Skills House is conceived as an opportunity to learn by doing and gain experience in a sector that requires qualified professionals. He particularly highlights the potential for young people, offering various avenues for professional development.
The program will be structured in two main phases. The first will involve theoretical and practical training in traditional construction, renovation, and sustainability criteria. The second phase, lasting six months, will consist of an alternating training contract, combining learning with actual work.
Participants will be able to apply their acquired knowledge in real projects, learning construction techniques and incorporating current efficiency and sustainability criteria for heritage restoration.
