Amposta City Council has approved the project to improve the Carrer Major path, allocating €258,000 for surface renewal and increased safety.

The project, approved by the Local Government Board, involves a complete renewal of the road surface using asphaltic spray. This intervention aims to ensure better circulation and contribute to the preservation of one of the municipality's riverside paths.
The council is also progressing with other rural road network improvement projects, including the drafting of plans for the Pescadors, Lligallo de La Culs, and Comes paths.
Mayor Adam Tomàs highlighted the consistent investment in municipal roads. Last winter, over €550,000 was allocated to ten paths in the dryland area, featuring works like hot asphalt application on paths such as Tosses, Comunets, and Ferrereta for enhanced durability against extreme weather conditions.
Other dryland paths that have undergone improvements include Ferrereta, Granell, Pins, a section of the Tapà path, the link between Freginals and Tapà, and the old path from Masdenverge to Amposta. Some works, like that on the Granell path, were executed with concrete to better withstand intense rainfall episodes.
