The rough seas affecting the Tarragona coastline have caused significant issues. On the Barra del Trabucador in La Ràpita, around thirty vehicles became trapped due to the rising water. Firefighters have received multiple alerts related to wind in the coastal area, primarily for falling trees and awnings.
The alert from Trabucador was received at 7:06 PM, reporting high waves and rising sea levels. Two units from the Ulldecona station and one from the Emergency Region were dispatched. Firefighters are escorting the vehicles, as the road is flooded despite some sandy stretches.
Regarding the wind, from 6:00 PM onwards, firefighters began receiving calls to remove fallen awnings and trees. On the Sant Joan de Déu promenade in Calafell, a palm tree fell at 7:06 PM, blocking the road. In Amposta, on Sant Cristòfol street, a tree fell at 6:56 PM.
Calls to remove awnings have been numerous, including one from a beach bar in L'Hospitalet de l'Infant (6:53 PM), on Independència avenue in Cambrils (7:16 PM), in the Sant Isidre neighborhood of Alcanar (7:23 PM), and the Ajuntament square in La Ràpita (6:14 PM). Window panes from a balcony on Sant Isidre street in La Ràpita also broke (6:32 PM).
