As September arrives, La Ràpita prepares to bid farewell to summer with its Cultural Days, a well-established event that will fill the town's streets and venues with over thirty cultural activities. This year, a significant highlight will be the launch of the La Ràpita City Council's new Culture website, designed to streamline public access to all cultural offerings.
The 2026 program features concerts, theater, cinema, book presentations, exhibitions, popular culture events, and heritage-related activities, blending traditional favorites with new initiatives. Councillor for Culture, Noelia Belmonte, emphasizes the broad and diverse nature of the program, aiming for "everyone to find an activity they enjoy".
Key cultural venues such as the Auditori Sixto Mir, Església Nova, the Municipal Library, and the Museu de la Mar de l'Ebre will host a substantial part of the events. Among the most anticipated activities are the Concert per la Ràpita, open to public participation, and the festival's opening speech by Antonio Carmona Ramón.
Popular culture will play a prominent role with events on September 11th, the Gathering of Diablos Groups, and the Gathering of Giant Groups. The Book and Vermouth Fair with Hats, organized by the collective Cansomiatruites, will also take place.
Classical music will gain prominence with the first concert by Joventuts Musicals de la Ràpita and a special event by the Agrupació Musical Rapitenca, celebrating its 80th anniversary. Literature, cinema with CineClub la Ràpita and the Cicle Gaudí, and theater with the new season at the Auditori Sixto Mir complete the offerings.
The new Culture website will centralize the event calendar, venue information, ticket purchasing, and a directory of local entities. "We want to organize all this activity and make culture accessible to everyone with a single click," explains Belmonte, highlighting the vibrant cultural fabric of La Ràpita.
