Terres de l'Ebre to Host National Finals of Catalan School Sports Games 2025-2026
La Ràpita and Tortosa will stage basketball, artistic skating, and handball finals, promoting sports values and coexistence.

The Montsià Sports Council kicks off the National Finals of the Catalan School Sports Games (JEEC) 2025-2026 in Terres de l'Ebre, with events in La Ràpita and Tortosa.
Terres de l'Ebre is gearing up to be the hub for school sports competitions in Catalonia. The Montsià Sports Council has launched the National Finals of the Catalan School Sports Games (JEEC) for the 2025-2026 season. The first event will take place on Sunday, May 31st, at the sports pavilion in la Ràpita, featuring the finals for the U11 (benjamí) basketball category, for both boys and girls.
The competition will continue on June 6th in Tortosa with the individual artistic skating finals, levels A and B. Subsequently, on June 13th, the capital of Baix Ebre will also host the handball finals for the U11 (benjamí) and U13 (aleví) girls' categories.
In the U11 boys' basketball category, seven teams will compete. Club Bàsquet Tortosa will represent the Ebre region, facing off against Frederic Godàs from Segrià, TGC Bàsquet Club Tarragonès, Escola Serralarella from Terrassa, Col·legi Sant Josep from Baix Camp, Escola Alemanya from Barcelona, and CE Bisbal Bàsquet from Baix Empordà. For the U11 girls' category, five teams have reached the final stage: Col·legi Consolació from l’Arboç, Col·legi Sagrat Cor from Sarrià, TGC Bàsquet Club Tarragonès, Col·legi Seda from Baix Llobregat, and Escola Puigcerver from Baix Camp.
The School Sports Games, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya and organized by sports councils across the region, represent the culmination of a season eagerly awaited by all participating teams, after successfully navigating the regional and territorial phases.
